Have you ever thought about how much to ask for on a Jobapplication or wondered how much you could make working in the big city? Well, think no more. This application educates you with the occupationalinformation that you need to make decisions. Whether you are heading tocollege, moving to a new area, climbing the company ladder or negotiating a payraise, this application will help you along the way. After selecting a geographical location, you will have theability to select an occupation and view detailed descriptions of work andeducation requirements. You will also be able to view current wage,salary and employment levels for that occupation within that geographicallocation. Some data points include; entry level hourly wage, medianhourly wage, experienced hourly wage, total employment, entry level salary, andso on. Coming in Version 2:
- compare your selections to an alternate location to seenot only the difference in pay but the change in cost of living. Thecomparison screen will also compare both the alternate and selected location tothe state and national averages.
