Inspiration
We wanted to build a tool for students to use when they have many preferences and dietary goals that they don't know how to translate into a meal plan. I was actually one of those students myself!
What it does
Nutr-EZ will aid you in creating a tailored meal plan according to your preferences and dietary goals. It's designed with the Carnegie Mellon campus dining offerings in mind (indeed, you don't have to venture away from campus to be in charge of your nutrition!). It will aim to helpfully and responsively adapt to your feedback on the provided recommendations, underpinned by powerful data analytics under the hood.
How I built it
We used python for the web server and html to design the website, and the pandas library.
Challenges I ran into
We were unfamiliar with HTML, so it was a lot to learn HTML.
