Inspiration
Our objective to give teenagers easily accessible and compassionate mental health care served as an inspiration for Nurai. We set out to develop an AI-driven therapist that can provide support and direction when people are struggling as we know the struggles of mental health problems such as stress.
What it does
Nurai, an AI-powered chatbot was created to offer compassionate support to teens struggling with issues including motivation, sadness, stress from school, and more. It creates a sense of connection by engaging people in compassionate conversation, providing personalized guidance, and doing so.
How we built it
Modern frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were incorporated to create Nurai. The user interface to interact with the chatbot is provided by the frontend. We used Flask and OpenAI's API alongside their model davinci which we fine tuned with tailored data on the backend to process user input, produce responses, and keep the conversation in context.
Challenges we ran into
A big difficulty was ensuring smooth frontend and backend integration. Additionally, we used OpenAI's model davinci and we fine tuned it with numerous data sets so its tailored for the appropriate user, and creative problem-solving to make sure that Nurai's reactions were both accurate and compassionate. It took hard work, dedication, and close collaboration to overcome these challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Nurai is a platform we're happy to have developed because it not only addresses mental health issues but does it in a sincere and empathetic way. Our achievement consists in creating an efficient and compassionate AI therapist who can make an impact in the lives of teenagers dealing with emotional problems.
What we learned
Building Nurai gave us a fresh viewpoint on the possibility of AI to solve problems in the real world. We gained a greater understanding of frontend-backend integration, natural language processing, and the challenges of creating a specific AI model for a specific purpose.
What's next for Nurai
Nurai's capabilities will eventually be enhanced through the addition more data that we can use to fine tune. In order to make sure Nurai continues to be a reliable companion for teenagers in need of emotional support, we plan to increase its knowledge base and further personalize interactions.
