Inspiration: We were inspired in making a social impact for the most vulnerable people. Children need help to have a better life.
What it does: AI School Nutritionist in your hand
How we built it: We used a bunch of tech stack like open-source AI models for image recognition and a large language model for recipe recommender. We built a web app with the help of javascript/react to visualize out final numbers/stats.
Challenges we ran into: Not everyone in the team had technical expertise when it came to building a website. Literature on available solutions to this problem was limited. Less time to build a larger fully functional app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Able to build a working prototype that delivers a clear message of what we are trying to solve.
What we learned: Learnt a bunch about the problem statement and also new tech stack like LLAMA and Pytessaract
What's next for NourishConnect: We want to add features such as store recommender and also make a mobile app for the product.
