Abstract

This project aims to create an NLP and computer vision solution to create well formatted, informative lecture notes from lecture recordings. Current solutions are limited to lecture transcription, which is not always accurate and is prone to shortcomings such as misread words and missing content from lectures. Using AWS and GPT-3, NoteToSelf will create well-formatted notes based on lecture audio input, and will use visual cues to flesh out the notes. We believe that this addresses some issues of remote learning, as classes without these resources leave students working remotely at a disadvantage.
