Inspiration
To truly be successful as a company, you must offer a service that is both innovative and is needed in the marketplace. We noticed that getting a loan was rather difficult, and for most people, it was near impossible. Predatory loan industries have grown unchecked in recent years. We aim to alleviate that burden slightly. By connecting people to people and bringing a human element into the loan market, we have the ability to make dreams come true.
What it does
Primarily, we connect people looking for affordable loans of various sizes to people looking to make their money work for them. NeveraLone goes beyond just small loans, by combining the resources of many people, customers of NeveraLone can get a student loan or a car loan at an affordable rate.
How I built it
We built it with a Java Spring back end and a React front end.
Challenges I ran into
This was the first full stack project my group had ever done, and none of us had any experience with front end development.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We learned enough of a language and multiple frameworks in 36 hours to make a project that can actually help people.
What I learned
We learned that front end development is a lot harder than it looks.
What's next for NeveraLone
This may be a project that we continue work on and actually bring to the marketplace. This is good enough of an idea that it at least merits the consideration to go to that stage.
