NeuroConnect

Inspiration

NeuroConnect is an app that promotes brain health. The alarming statistic of the number of neurological disorders is what initially inspired us to create an application that anyone around the world can use for free. Coming from a low-income family, I understand how much it costs to take care of your brain and to be served medical treatment. With this in mind, I try to bridge this gap.

What it does

NeuroConnect takes your age and sex. With this information, we tailor brain advice specific to you. We look at meals, nutrition, sleep, and provide games and exercises. It doesn't provide medical attention but it molds a healthy lifestyle for better neurological health. This prevents the disorder or disease from forming in the first place.

How we built it

I built it using Xcode, using the language Swift as it has a user-friendly interface.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge I ran into was getting comfortable with Xcode. I am not used to this IDE.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

My time management. I was able to create 7+ function pages with multiple features in under a week.

What we learned

What I learned was about the brain. I had to do a lot of research on my own. I learned what nutrition is optimal and how the brain is different for varying ages and sex.

What's next for NeuroConnect

I want to incorporate AI into my app. Perhaps, AI can help with providing free diagnosis
