Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project came from witnessing the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities in accessing essential services. We were inspired by their resilience and motivated to create a platform that could make a meaningful impact by promoting accessibility and inclusion in our community.

What it does

It provides a one-stop platform offering caregiver services, an inclusive tourism guide, a network for assistance, and an information directory. Users can easily access and book services while promoting inclusivity and support for individuals with disabilities.

How we built it

-Technology Stack: We used the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Next.js, Node.js) with Next.js for server-side rendering.

  • Collaboration: Our team collaborated through GitHub, following an agile development approach.
  • User-Centered Design: We prioritized user feedback and accessibility in our design.
  • Database: We designed a secure MongoDB schema for data storage.
  • Testing and Deployment: Thorough testing and deployment ensured platform reliability and performance.

Challenges we ran into

Time Constraint: With only 48 hours, time management was critical. Complexity: Integrating multiple features posed technical challenges. Team Collaboration: Coordinating a diverse team demanded effective communication.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

In addition to building a comprehensive platform, we gained valuable experience from the hackathon. We learned to thrive under time constraints and improved our team collaboration skills significantly.

Our goal is to continue improving accessibility and inclusivity, making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.
