Neighborli Web App

Inspiration

In 2021, many more Canadians have experienced major depressive disorders and generalized anxiety disorders as well as reporting more feelings of loneliness and social isolation. The pandemic has been damaging to people's mental health, and we wanted to create something to restore it. Our objective for Neighborli is to encourage people to connect with their local communities and restore mental health by participating in local events.

What it does

Connects the community in a neighborhood
Facilitates event hosting and organization
Displays what events are happening nearby
Message and form connections with neighbors who attend similar events

Incorporate with local businesses to run events near them to increase patronage and community engagement
Post volunteering opportunities to teenagers and adults alike to aid local institutions and elderly neighbours with tasks they may need -Create interest-based message boards to connect people through messaging within the community
