Inspiration

I was inspired by the old Zork text-based adventure games. 🎲

What it does

Nature 42 immerses players in dynamically generated text-based worlds where they need to find keys to unlock a mysterious vault.

How we built it

The project was entirely built in Kiro using primarily spec driven development. The game heavily leans on the Strands Agents SDK (Python) to manage gameplay and dynamic world generation. The game is hosted on AWS App Runner.

Challenges we ran into

I had to keep reminding the chat dev agent to use the Strands Power to get the latest docs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I build an original game in a pretty short amount of time. The game content will very every time it's played.

What we learned

I learned how to use Kiro 👻 to plan and build a relatively large project. I also learned a novel application of the Strands Agents framework for building game worlds.

What's next for Nature 42

Dynamic image generation so players can get visuals. :)
