Inspiration
To help those in need.
What it does
Provides a website where people can get help from domestic violence, sexual abuse, suicide, etc. It provides a platform where they can report issues happening to themselves or happening to others. It also provides resources where they can get help or learn about the issues.
How we built it
We used the .NET framework, mainly coded in JavaScript, AngularJS, and C#. Our front-end uses HTML and CSS. The site has been published on Azure via Visual Studios / File Transfer Protocal.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenges were getting our idea onto a working platform. And another challenge was working with a short time constraint.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are really proud of what we accomplished, being able to finish and deploy with the limited time frame. We believe through our website, we can get the help to those in need.
What we learned
We learned that there are a lot of people in the nation that need the services of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers). We learned that there needs to be more resources that can help these people in need.
What's next for NASW Help Website
We hope our idea can be a prototype of a real website that the NASW can use to help people.
