Our inspiration for Soular stems deeply from personal experiences and cultural nuances. All of us, rooted in our Asian heritage, grew up in environments where open dialogues about emotions and mental well-being were not just uncommon but often subtly discouraged. Such cultural norms left us navigating the tumultuous waters of unspoken feelings and unexpressed sentiments. Recognizing this personal need and considering the broader global shift towards introspection, especially evident during the pandemic-induced isolation, we sought to enhance the journaling experience. With our expertise in AI and an innate passion for emotion detection, we envisioned a tool that could offer users a fresh and multidimensional perspective on their emotional journey.

What it does

Soular isn’t just another digital diary; it’s an illuminating compass pointing users towards the depths and intricacies of their emotional universe. When users draft their thoughts, Soular’s AI delves deep into the narrative, meticulously spotlighting emotion-driven keywords. This profound analysis paints an intricate emotional picture for every entry. How we built it

At the heart of Soular is a powerful synergy of generative AI and the versatile React framework. Our backend system is meticulously architected to identify and interpret emotional cues, rendering them into visually immersive insights. Complementing this, our React-driven frontend offers users an intuitively designed platform for journaling and immersing themselves in their emotional narratives.
