Inspiration

We developed TwoWay upon realizing that many online interactions lack depth. Our goal was to shift from surface-level interactions to meaningful exchanges of knowledge and skills.

What it does

TwoWays connects locals for skill exchanges. Whether you're a guitar enthusiast looking to delve into coding or vice versa, our platform pairs users based on complementary skills, fostering memorable and valuable interactions.

How we built it

We built TwoWay as a web application using HTML and CSS for the frontend and integrated React Native for mobile responsiveness and interactive features.

Challenges we ran into

One of our primary challenges was integrating specific libraries like react-native-picker. Compatibility issues arose, especially with certain IDE environments, making installations tricky.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're really proud that our app feels safe and encourages people to share their passions. The video chat thing, where both have to agree quickly, turned out to be a cool feature that we haven’t seen elsewhere.

What we learned

We learned loads about keeping data safe, how to match people in real-time, and that building something that helps real people connect is super rewarding.

What's next for TwoWay

We will push this application to the mobile app store/playstore so people can start using it today!
