Our team has always been fascinated by quadcopters, but unfortunately piloting one is difficult without practice. For this hackathon we attempted to incorporate the Myo Armband into piloting our CrazyFlie quadcopter in order to create a more intuitive experience. The Myo Armband sends values to the computer, which sends the commands to the CrazyFlie. One of our greatest accomplishments from this hackathon was that our team managed to get the values from the Myo in a variety of languages, including C++ and Python, but unfortunately we had trouble bridging the Myo to the CrazyFlier. We learned a lot about converting things into different languages of codes, and different coding interfaces. We plan to continue trying to connect the Myo to the CrazyFlier in order to make piloting it a more immersive and instinctual experience.
