MyIBS

MyIBS is a website to help Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) sufferers with resources as well as track their food and symptoms. The goal is to have a visual diary to help understand food triggers.

Inspiration

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common condition affecting the digestive system. This is often overlooked or ignored as the symptoms are very common. Healthcare in most of the countries is paid, so a lot of people ignore these symptoms and do not prefer to go to the doctor. We created myIBS in order to help sufferers track down their trigger foods and symptoms.

What it does

Help IBS sufferers find a way to log data and deal with their symptoms.

How we built it

We used repl.it to collaborate. Firstly we brainstormed our ideas and came up with rough sketches. Then we got to designing the website by splitting webpages across team members.

Challenges we ran into

Organizing the layout of the web page and UI Design. It was difficult to line things up. Developing javascript functions that would take the data from the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We sketched out our ideas and brought it to life. We built the website ourselves and got over the challenges along the way.

What we learned

We learned front-end and back-end development as well as UI design.

Generate IBS analysis charts.
