Inspiration: I(Nadika Poudel) won a minor depression that had a year ago and with this I want others to win it too which gave me the utmost will power to work for this.
and I Krishbin Paudel has some family members who have no place to share their feelings.
What it does:
It makes an appointment with the doctor(psychologist) online and gives a platform to consult them online which sounds great as people don't want to disclose mental problems face-to-face.It gives guidelines to keep yourself motivated, see the symptoms if you are really suffering from a certain mental problem or not.Along with that it acts as a mentor for self-heal, focus and blissfulness as a whole.
How we built it
we came up with an idea on what effects most of the people around the web and We built this app by going through the documentation of django, bootstrap and jquery.
Challenges we ran into
Django was new to us, we tried to learn how this framework worked with the dom. We had a experience with html but django being new to us was the major challenge that we had to look upon. We went on trying MongoDB atlas but later found out that NoSQL was out of support from Django. Still we learned how mongo worked and went on adapting the prebuilt database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A web app built completely form scratch in two days time with our team effort to pull on a website that looks on most of the people on the web that suffer from depression. Giving them a place to hangout and consult with a physician makes a lot of ease in busy schedule of people. We are certainly proud that on scaling this app we can surely control the depression and get them treated and make them express their feeling as soon as possible. The collected data can be further analyzed to get an overview of people with depression.
What we learned
Django Framework, its different models ,views and its properties. How to serve a python app on the web. How the DOM works together with python. Python classes, Html responses. CSRF tokens and how to make forms data safe on the internet. HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap. Jquery and Javascript on the web.
