Inspiration

Recently went home and was watching tv but the recharge wasn't done so I had to find the subscriber id to recharge it and found out it was really a pain. So with this hackathon, got this idea why not a voice based search would be much better just not to get such small information but do search shows and consume content in a much better way.

What it does

You can search shows, do smart search on channels, ask for popular shows, account information etc.

How we built it

We used Alexa skills and AWS lambda to develop this application.

Challenges we ran into

We faced numerous challenges while developing this application. We first planned to develop this app on Google assistant and Alexa platform both but due to lot of issues while integrating google assistant with the backend so we scrapped it and built the application completely on the Alexa platform. Lack of proper data sets was also a big hindrance while developing this application and showing its full potential.
