Inspiration

We were inspired by our own school life, given that we're students of Stuyvesant, which is known for being academically rigorous. Sometimes when you have a lot on your hands, you struggle to keep track of all your tasks, whether they're academic goals or personal ambitions. We also wanted to make something that would appeal to our peers, and we decided to go with an easy-to-use, eye-pleasing design that would benefit students.

What it does

Basically it's a website with a home page that talks about us and how to use this, as well as a To-Do page to track your tasks (long and short term), as well as a goals page which tracks long term and short term goals, too. In addition the tools and motivations.

How we built it

We made the website using HTML and used CSS to style it. For our special features, such as creating to-do lists, setting goals, calculating GPA and averages, and generating motivation, we used JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

At first, we had trouble creating a visually pleasing design and creating functional buttons with HTML and JavaScript. However, by helping each other out, we were able to work through these issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how multi-functional and useful the My Lovely Planner site proved to be. I know that its many functions can make completing schoolwork and getting through the school year much easier.

What we learned

None of our members had a lot of coding experience before this project. As a result, this project served as an incredible way to practice website making as well as HTML, Javascript, and CSS. In addition, one of our members started from scratch completely, with no prior coding experience. She learned the fundamentals of creating a website through this project.

What's next for My Lovely Planner

Next, we would want to add minigames for students to play once they complete every task for motivation. In addition, we want to create another slide for assignments and tests that can be organized by date and class.
