Inspiration

We wanted to create something inspired by the Greek goddesses, particularly figures like Artemis and Athena, who are often portrayed as strong, independent, and empowering. This led us to the idea of building a tool that embodies those qualities—helping users reflect, create, and find inspiration in everyday life.

What It Does

MuseMind currently features three modes, each inspired by one of the nine Muses:

  • Clio, Muse of History: Document your day or your feelings in a journal. Clio offers suggestions and coping mechanisms to help you process your experiences.

  • Urania, Muse of Astronomy and Astrology: Receive positive messages drawn from the stories behind constellations and astrological insights.

How We Built It

We used .NET and C# for the frontend framework, while leveraging Gemini via backend Python scripts to power AI-driven features like music generation and journaling support.

Challenges We Faced

At first, we had some difficulty configuring .NET, and understanding how to use it. We also had difficulty integrating Gemini to generate music required experimenting with different models and techniques. Iteration and persistence were key to overcoming these challenges.

Also, we couldn't finish implementing the backend into the front end, we had some problems with flask.

Accomplishments We’re Proud Of

  • We were able to successfully finish the backend, creating music and things with Gemini.

What We Learned

We gained hands-on experience with Gemini, learning both how to integrate it into a product and how it can assist in the development process itself. Beyond technical skills, we also deepened our understanding of user experience design and iterative development.

What’s Next for MuseMind

  • Expand to include more of the nine Muses, with new modes like poetry, storytelling, or visual arts.
  • Implement an account system to save user projects and track progress over time.
  • Explore deeper personalization and AI-driven recommendations to make MuseMind an even more inspiring and interactive experience.
