Inspiration

While growing up, we noticed how a lot of young Muslims did not have access to Islamic knowledge, or at the very least, un-Islamic content was being pushed onto them. This is when we thought, "What if there was a place where Muslims could acquire AUTHENTIC Islamic information without having to struggle to find someone knowledgeable?" This is when we came up with our site, "مساعدة" is a site that allows Muslims and Non-Muslims to learn about Islam by talking with our chatbot. It offers answers to questions about beliefs, practices, and culture.

What it does

The chatbot provides information on the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad, prayer, fasting, and more. Users can explore topics at their own pace and get clear, accurate responses. Our chatbot is trained to answer questions based specifically on the Quran and Sunnah.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues with the collection of the data. The bot had some hallucinations. It originally gave incorrect or extremely generalized answers, and cited the wrong information.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the issues that we, for the most part, solved. We're happy for the design of the chat bot, and how we were able to make it simple but efficient.

We learned how to develop chatbots and how to properly train an AI.

What's next for Musa'adah مساعدة

Our future plan is to fully automate the process. We will develop an AI to filter out false or misleading information, ensuring that users receive accurate resources while learning about the religion.

Additionally, we will implement a login system requiring user verification before asking questions. This will include fulfilling specific requirements, such as completing an introductory module, to maintain a respectful and constructive environment.

We also aim to create community features like forums for verified users to share insights and experiences, promoting engagement while safeguarding the integrity of shared information.
