Inspiration
Restaurants contribute to millions of tons of food waste each year and hunger is a rising issue that's only been exponentially growing since COVID. By connecting restaurants with food banks/homeless shelters, the lack of food could be combatted while reducing the waste placed in landfills.
What Munch does
Munch provides a platform where food banks can create a profile and receive a list of food items near them. They can then request the food for pick-up, creating relationships between organizations and restaurants. In addition, Munch allows users to learn more about world hunger, food waste, and actions that can be taken against them.
