Inspiration
- The Vancouver Science World Ultrasound Sensor Harp
- Launchpad for LED Matrix
- We are all music lovers :)
What it does
Uses an ultrasonic rangefinder to measure the distance to the player, then adjusts the frequency of music notes that the sound component in the circuit plays depending on the value obtained. Uses a potentiometer to control the volume of music coming from the speaker, an LED Matrix display, and the "mode" of the design: ("DJ Board" mode, in which players can control frequency, and a "radio mode" which plays pre-programmed music).
How we built it
We first protoyped a design for the circuit, then developed Arduino codes for each device/function in the design. We then proceeded to implement our ideas
Challenges we ran into
- Understanding Arduino parts we were unfamiliar with (such as the 8x8 LED Matrix display) and understanding how we can implement these parts in our design after reading documentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Coming together as a team and creating a fully functional, efficient design on the spot!
