Multi-Meet

  The map created with React Map GL. It has the basic functionalities of moving around and zooming in/out.

Inspiration

My inspiration came from personal experiences with friends and how they always say "on my way", but arrive 10-15 minutes late to our destination.

What it does

Multi-meet allows users to share a map where everyone can see each other's routes and how far along each person is to the destination.

How we built it

We built the frontend with React using the Mapbox API. The backend was built with Django.

Challenges we ran into

There were issues with simulating a map on React for the frontend and connecting the backend to the frontend. Backend issues included being unable to create a login system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

When we finally put up the map that included basic functionality like moving around and zooming in/out

What we learned

We learned the basics of front-end and back-end development despite not making a final polished project

What's next for Multi-Meet

Further development to actually make the project come into fruition
