Inspiration

Our inspiration for MRS WORLDWIDE stems from the growing trend of individuals embarking on solo travel adventures. While this trend is gaining momentum, especially for exchange programs or leisure purposes, women often face unique challenges related to personal safety in unfamiliar environments and cities. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive solution, we envisioned a one-stop platform that empowers women to travel with confidence and explore new cities without fear. MRS WORLDWIDE aims to alleviate concerns by providing not only safety insights but also curated recommendations for the best tourist attractions in each city, offering a holistic travel experience.

What it does

MRS WORLDWIDE revolutionizes the travel planning experience for solo female explorers. Users simply input their desired destination and the number of days they plan to travel, and our platform generates a personalized itinerary for each day of the journey, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching travel experience. But what sets the website apart is its commitment to safety. Drawing from an extensive database showcasing crime rates in different cities, our platform analyzes this information and suggests other secure cities in their desired country to explore, ensuring peace of mind and a safe travel experience. In addition to providing recommendations, our platform goes further by guiding users to a logistics planning website. Our goal is to offer a smooth experience, removing the need to search for accommodations and flights independently. MRS WORLDWIDE acts as a direct gateway to Airbnb and travel flights, streamlining the booking process and ensuring that women can focus on the excitement of their upcoming adventure rather than worrying about logistics.

How we built it

We built MRS WORLDWIDE with the MERN stack and imported Cohere Generate API.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating the Cohere API into our MERN stack posed several challenges. One significant hurdle involved the intricacies of authentication and authorization. Ensuring the correct configuration of API keys for Cohere and implementing robust authentication mechanisms were crucial steps in securing sensitive information during the integration process. We also encountered challenges in sourcing and integrating datasets into our project. After finding relevant datasets, it was difficult to seamlessly integrate them into our MERN stack.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have integrated front and back end simultaneously. We are also proud to have implemented a database in our back end so that information could be stored.
