Inspiration

MrBeast's Youtube video, "Planting 20,000,000 Trees, My Biggest Project Ever!" and the game "Cookie Clicker."

What it does

The game challenges the user to save the world by clicking the Earth and making smart economical decisions. The website is meant to raise awareness while being fun. Within our page, one can learn more about deforestation and donate to help plant trees.

How we built it

Using Replit multiplayer and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into included accidentally messing up old code while working on new functionality, the live tree counter, and lining up the components where we wanted to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud of the intuitive UI/UX and the complex game mechanics we were able to implement. The user has plenty of possibilities to explore with all the upgrades we coded.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate HTML, CSS, and Javascript together. Because of the time constraint, our lack of good documentation ended up giving us trouble. Also, git branching could've helped us so that we wouldn't mess up old code.

What's next for MrBeast Trees

Make the interface more aesthetically pleasing, add a menu to expand and collapse the button upgrades to remove clutter, game over screen.
