Inspiration

The inspiration for Motion came from my own experiences during my sophomore year. I used an app called Notion to manually track my assignments, and it took me over a week to organize about 75% of my syllabi. Unfortunately, as due dates changed, I found myself falling behind, which was incredibly frustrating. Looking at my syllabus for ENGL 1102 this semester, I realized how valuable it would be to have a tool that encourages organization and time management. I initially tried to build out my Notion page again but gave up after just two days due to time constraints and the overwhelming nature of balancing multiple classes.

What it does

With Motion, all you need to do is upload your syllabus, and an AI model will generate a personalized calendar that tracks upcoming due dates and assessments. This way, you always know what’s coming up and can plan your study time effectively. Plus, as you complete assignments, you can check them off, giving you a clear sense of what you've accomplished and what's next. Another valuable feature is the ability to upload your notes in PDF format. This ensures that your important information is safe and organized, so you no longer have to worry about losing a notebook or cluttering your tablet with disorganized digital notes.

How we built it

Using AI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and python we made a webapp that could effect the lives of many school students whether it be high school or college

Challenges we ran into

Formatting everything to work seemlessly with Database, Unruly AI answers

Accomplishments that we're proud of

having a work product to show off to the judges. We are proud that it does everything we set out for it to do before we started making it.

What we learned

How to use AI in projects as well as 3rd party API integrations

What's next for Motion

Developing a better UI, increasing the accuracy from ai, Attempting to create a mobile app.
