Inspiration
We took inspiration from Google's many recommendation features for restaurants.
What it does
Our project generates a new restaurant based on the input of your favourite restaurant, ensuring the user of always having a meal that they will enjoy.
How we built it
We built it using Python, Django, and HTML/CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into several challenges while making this project. Namely, experiencing difficulty with finding an adequate dataset that contained restaurants that we wanted to use. Instead we pivoted towards using a data set that generated a cuisine, based on a cuisine you inputted (looking to the future to be able to find one that has restaurants). As well, we experienced significant difficulty in moving the user input data into the backend machine learning model.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our ability to learn Django within the day and apply it to our project. As well, being able to connect the HTML/css component to the machine learning model.
What we learned
We learned how to use Django, HTML/CSS and work through the significant difficulties when it came to connecting the frontend with the backend.
What's next for More-ish
Using proper restaurant data for our model!
