Inspiration
For the last few years, we have been under so much mental pressure due to the pandemic and people have suddenly started to realize how important our mental health is so we have built a mood tracking website which tracks your mood and according to the data it suggests you the changes that can be done and helps you have a better mental state.
What it does
The app basically helps you in keeping a track of good mental health by analyzing your day-to-day mental health, it being an important part of your life. The app specifically provides an edge and lends out a helping hand to the LGBTQIA+ community, as it provides the facility of adding and sharing blogs, these blogs can prove to be really helpful for someone to cope with the physical and mental trauma considering the powerful stories of the ones who have already been in the same situation.
How we built it
We built by dividing our work amongst our 4 team members, where each one of us handled a specific part owing to our knowledge of that domain, frontend, and backend respectively.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was to find a team since we didn't have one till the 18th, nevertheless we found our mates, all of us being newbies found the incorporation of mood to calendar highlight very difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to think of and develop something that serves as an amalgamation of both Healthcare and Community Serving. We are proud of working with each other even though the time zones didn't fit well, but in the end, all that matters is that we made a good team effort.
What we learned
After having an insight on the workflow of the application namely 'MoodVoke', we concluded that it will ease the struggles of many people going through depression and anxiety. Along with this, the app provides a forum for diverse groups of people to share their experiences and help them cope up with daily life. On the tech front, the front-end developers learned about the backend and vice versa. This surely helped us in learning a lot of new things.
What's next for MoodVoke
We are thinking of making Moodvoke cross-platform so that people can use it from their mobiles as well. We can use computer vision to track people's emotions through a webcam and automate the process of filling the forms. We will try to make our blog section more interactive and access more feasible.
