We took inspiration from a popular game called pokémon.

The main focus of this video game revolves around the thrilling task of capturing numerous monsters. As you embark on your journey through various terrains, there is a 1/3 chance of encountering one of these captivating creatures whenever you tread through the lush tall grass. Once an encounter happens, the player must shoot the monsters.

We built it using the design software Tiled to design the map. We compiled all of the code and images using Unity. We used Visual Studio Code to program.

Some challenges we ran in through were organizing all the layers in Tiled, scenes in Unity, and how to access game objects in another scene.

We're very proud of the design of the map, the shooting mechanic, and the animations.

We learned how to do animations, camera management, cloning prefabs, implementing RNG, and how to design using Tiled

We'll implement a turn-based combat system and we'll add more monsters to catch.
