MoneyBird

We were inspired by our struggles to manage our finances as busy, overwhelmed college students. MoneyBird is a website that help college students keep track of finances. Through inputs such as, but not limited to, loans, grants, scholarships and parking, we are able to store their information. We also provide students with a chatbot to aid them regarding their finances . Then, we will provide recommendations to the student, for what the ‘ smart choice ‘ is based on their spending, as well as provide warnings if the student is almost under or under their budget or above their budget, if entered. We built it through application of firebase, javascript, react, vite, for the backend, and html/ css, for the front end. Challenges we ran into were that we had no experience with firebase, as well as were not proficient in the programming languages. We are proud of being able to implement the use of firebase, get the chatbot up and running, and especially, integrating the frontend and backend. We learned that just because you have not mastered a skill, does not mean you should avoid it. Next, we will present our project, MoneyBird.
