Inspiration Financial literacy is crucial, yet traditional learning methods are often boring or overwhelming. We wanted to create a platform that makes learning about money interactive, engaging, and rewarding—turning financial education into a fun adventure.

What it does Money Quest helps users learn money management through bite-sized lessons called “bits.” Each bit contains interactive questions and scenarios that teach concepts like budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible spending. Users track their progress, unlock levels, and gain a sense of achievement as they advance through their financial journey.

How we built it We used the MERN stack: MongoDB to store bits and user progress, Express & Node.js to handle API routes for fetching bits and updating progress, React for a responsive and interactive frontend, Tailwind CSS for modern styling. State management is handled through custom hooks, enabling seamless progress tracking and interactive quizzes.

Challenges we ran into Synchronizing frontend and backend routes and ensuring proper API responses. Designing a scalable system for tracking individual user progress. Creating engaging lessons that are both educational and fun.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully implemented an interactive learning experience with progress tracking. Built a scalable backend model for personalized user journeys. Designed a clean, responsive frontend that makes learning enjoyable.

What we learned How to gamify educational content to improve engagement. Effective state management in React for interactive components. Structuring backend models for scalability and future feature expansion.

What's next for Money Quest Add advanced topics like investing simulations and challenges. Integrate social features for collaborative learning and competitions. Launch mobile-friendly versions to reach a wider audience.
