Inspiration
Think in the way a mole could be the protagonist in a puzzle game.
What it does
It's a game where your main objective is to find the moles that are moving in your map. They are following a path predetermined by the oponent. If you find a mole tunnel but the mole isn't there, the next tourn you will know the locationd and direction of the tunnel in the tile you dug up, but won't be able to see if the mole is there. Also, there's an indication that tells you which moles crawl through the tunnel. Once you find a mole, it's entire trajectory will be revealed on the map. If you find all your mols before your opponent does, you win the match.
How we built it
Using C++ for the code and Adobe Illustrator for the assets.
Challenges we ran into
We made a sudden change of challenge half through the hackathon and as a group it was difficult to commit to an specific idea of concept of videogame.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to quickly recover after stumbing into a dead end. Commiting to the project idea that we had.
What we learned
We learned how to use the SDL library and Adobe Illustrator.
