โš ๏ธ Challenges I Ran Into

Building MocchiMind was far more complex than it looks.

The biggest hurdle was orchestrating many specialized APIs โ€” authentication, database syncing, push notifications, AI generation, head-tracking, PDF rendering, video control, and more โ€” and making them behave like one seamless system in real time.

At the same time, I wanted the product to feel cute, calm, and effortless, not technical or overwhelming.

Balancing:

  • heavy AI workflows
  • live progress tracking
  • interruption mechanics
  • and multi-modal content generation

while still delivering a comfortable, delightful UI was extremely demanding.

What users experience as simple is powered by significant engineering complexity behind the scenes โ€” and that contrast is intentional.

MocchiMind is just getting started and this is not it.

Planned improvements include:

  • Voice-based explain-back with real-time live vocal evaluation utilizing Feynman technique

  • Long-form on-demand animated and simulation-based video generation that turns topics into cinematic, story-driven learning experiences
