Inspiration

We aimed to create a simple yet powerful tool for individuals to pause in their busy lives, reflect, and record the essence or mundane of their daily experiences. The "One Sentence Diary" WeChat Mini Program enables users to effortlessly jot down, review, and share their daily emotions and experiences, thereby enhancing self-awareness and quality of life.

What it does

The "One Sentence Diary" allows users to record a brief sentence each day about their experiences or feelings. Users can review past entries, track mood changes, and understand their emotional trends through visual data. The mini program also includes reminder features to encourage users to develop the habit of journaling.

How we built it

We developed the mini program using the WeChat Mini Program framework, employing WXML and WXSS for the front end and Node.js and Document database for backend data storage. We integrated WeChat APIs for user authentication and data synchronization.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges included optimizing user experience, ensuring the security of diary data, and implementing mood analysis and data visualization within the constraints of the WeChat Mini Program platform. We addressed these issues by collecting feedback through user testing and iteratively improving the mini program.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional mini program. Particularly, our mood tracking and data visualization features have received positive feedback from users.

What we learned

This project taught us the development process for WeChat Mini Programs, the importance of user experience design, and improved our skills in data handling and analysis.

What's next for mini_wechat_program

Next, we plan to introduce more personalized features, such as custom themes and reminder tunes, as well as employ AI technology for more accurate mood analysis. We also aim to expand our user base to help more people understand themselves better and improve their quality of life.
