Inspiration

Growing up, our favorite games to play were golf games. We wanted to see what it takes it to make a mini golf web game. We used Unity to create our game, and drew inspiration from games like Stardew Valley, that used a 2D tile map to create their world.

What it does

There are 9 unique golf holes that we created, each with different graphics style and features. Make sure to avoid the water and sand traps, and play until the last hole for a surprise!

How we built it

We used Unity to create our 2D world, and C# to create our scripts for the game.

Challenges we ran into

We never could solve the problem to weird bounces off the wall. Our best guess is that it has to do with the rotation of the ball object in Unity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our unique features! We created water hazards and sand traps to add some features to the game that just shooting a ball in a hole. There is also a spinning element on the last hole that we are quite proud of.

What we learned

It is a lot harder to be creative when creating a video game. Even something as simple as mini-golf takes a lot of thought and processing to create a good game.

What's next for Mini Golf

We hope to expand on the features of the game and enhance the UI.
