Inspiration

Why isn’t there an online pharmacist? Starting from the question above, I thought it would be useful for people to self-assess their diseases and get possible treatments independently. I hope that one day people can self-check every disease on their own using mobile apps.

What it does

"Mindful Frost" contains information (Definition, Symptoms, Treatment, Complication, Prevention ) about six representative winter diseases (Flu, Coronavirus, Hypothermia, Frostbite, Pneumonia, SAD (Seasonal Affective Depression)). Through the test page, users can know the infection possibility of the disease they chose.

How we built it

I built "Mindful Frost" using Flutter through the Android Studio. Flutter mainly uses language, Dart.

Challenges we ran into

There were mainly three challenges I went through while developing "Mindful_Frost." First, was my lack of developing an app. Due to my lack of coding experience, it took a huge amount of time actually develop the app, such as adding functions. Second, time management. Since this was my first hackathon and the time was limited, I had to systematically plan the whole process. Third, designing was particularly hard. I thought it was difficult to design the app according to the theme.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Although it was my first hackathon, I was able to successfully develop a functional application. Also, I flawlessly went through my plan. The whole process was very enjoyable for me.

What we learned

I learned many things through this hackathon. First, I learned choosing an idea is a very time-consuming process. Initially, I thought the developing part would take the most time. However, choosing the right idea according to the theme was more important. Second, I learned how to effectively plan and execute my plan. Since I am a student who has regular school works, I had to manage my time effectively. This hackathon allowed me to learn how to plan, distribute time, and set priorities.

What's next for Mindful_Frost

There are several functions I want to add to the app. The first is quantity. I want to add more physical diseases and psychological diseases and provide more information about the diseases, making them more eligible. The second is interactive features. I want to incorporate interactive elements such as quizzes, mini-games, or simulations to make learning about winter diseases more engaging and memorable for users. The third is community forums. I want to introduce a community forum or chatting platform where users can communicate with each other, share experiences, ask questions, and offer support related to winter health issues. The fourth is multimedia content. I want to include videos, infographics, and animations to supplement textual information, arrange different learning preferences, and enhance the overall user experience. The last is emergency assistance. I want to integrate emergency assistance features such as direct access to emergency hotlines or the ability to quickly locate nearby healthcare facilities in case of urgent medical needs.

If there is a chance, I would like to add theses functions to my app.
