Inspiration
There are three other things that slow down Metaverse adoption today:
- Not really immersive without a powerful VR
- Bad user experience
- Low usage
What it does
We are Mimetic and we want to make the Metaverse more fun, immersive, and accessible through augmented puppetry that translates real movement to the Metaverse with a single camera.
How we built it
We used Unity and a deep learning powered motion capture algorithm to build the base of our interactive Metaverse experience.

We ran into challenges compiling our solution and mastering the submission process.

We are proud of the highly expansive and immersive environments we created to explore the power of Mimetic and motion capture technology.
What we learned
We learned C# and designing for Unity from each other and the importance of going without sleep in these competitions.
What's next for Mimetic
Our path forward is to continue harnessing movement and the magical ambiance from the real-world with unique virtual experiences that exceed what's possible, transcending limits of time and space.
