What it does

Language Translation

How we built it

Built using the power of Blazor Server & Google cloud Client API to translate user input and getting audio through their API ~

Challenges we ran into

This is my first time using Blazer Server coming from ASP.NET Core 3.1, so initially, I was not too familiar with how it's set up structurally and working razor components, razor pages, and interacting with c# instead of Javascript for the most part. Having the project built .NET 5 was another challenge when it came to deploying to GCP App Engine.

Also being solo for this project was a challenge given the time frame

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of myself for taking on the challenge and learning new technology.

What we learned

Well, some of the things I learned was to start with the bare bones first Then work your way up, fleshing things out in your project, then polishing things up. I spent a lot of time trying to get things more polished perfectly before moving on and this dramatically slowed me down.

What's next for Melons 2 Melons

i hope to integrate a virtual keyboard and polish up the UI in the near future. perhaps try to duplicate the image translation feature in google translate
