Inspiration

Our project is called MediCan because with our website, we hop that more people can pay for healthcare even if they do not have the immediate means to do so.

What it does

For instructions on usage, see our demo video.

1) How do we convert the cost of health care to hours / type of labor?

The salary for the type of labor determines how many hours are needed to cover the medical costs.

2)How will a hospital keep track of "labor debt"?

Our website allows hospitals to keep track of how much progress users are making towards paying their health care costs.

3) What if the cost of health care amounts to, for example, 5 years of janitorial work? What if the hospital does not want the payments spread over such a long period of time?

Our website includes a crowd-funding platform to reduce the burden of cost on the user

How we built it

We built our website using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python

Challenges we ran into

We used LiveShare on VSCode to collaborate on the code for our website. This presented some challenges because the LiveShare session timed out periodically, and only the LiveShare host could view the finished website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our website's clean and user-friendly GUI. We are also proud that our website helps those who are poor be able to afford healthcare for their families.
