Inspiration

These waves of pandemic have uncovered how sometimes medical infrastructures and sometimes even governments fail to help and provide people what they require to survive !!

in these situations local organisations and NGO come forward and help, but sometimes people fail to get help for various reasons like they could't reach out for help or even sometimes organisations fail to find the needy.

India came out with a very interesting solution for this. People of India created a three way system where they post social media stories and tag top influencers...and then..influencers share those stories so people who can help would contact the needy and help them.

Although it works i found some inefficiency and tried to solve them.

What it does

its a platform where people can request for help and people who can help can find them directly without any mediater and hence making it fast to help and get help.

How we built it

Materialize css for styling ( + a lot of self styling ) vanilla Javascript for frontend and firebase for backend and database

Challenges we ran into

the biggest chalenge from this app was not something from the app but because of my decision of using materialize css for styling and firebase for backend and database as i was not familere with them and tried to learnt them in 2 days and therefore got a lot of unexpected bugs to solve. But i don't think there is better technology than firebase to solve a problem like this.

What's next for Medhelp

in next version i have decided to implement a donation function in my website. so helpers can accept direct donations from people all over the world and it will also be easy for donaters to search an active and worthy ngo for there money.

also i may add a micro chat and voip service so people who dont want, dont need to share there contact.
