Introduction: We are freshman students gaining experience by participating in our first-ever hackathon. Even if we might not win, we surely would take a lot of experience with us! About the project: We have two ideas for a Web application. I) A OpenAI-powered virtual assistant to help people communicate their emotions. The chatbot usually reads the prompt by the user and provides its input on it. II) Analyzing nutritional deficiency via bio-impedance The goal of this project is to map data on nutritional deficiency and body composition specific to a region in order for companies to introduce a product that caters to the nutritional expectations of that region. We have successfully made the UI/UX for this project.

Our Research: 1) Analyzing nutritional deficiency via electric impedance technology- We researched electric impedance technology and learned a lot in the process. It is a technology that is advantageous and provides extensive data on which we can work. By catering to the user’s nutritional needs and providing him with data about which nutrients should be added to his diet and providing medical counseling services through our counseling we try to mitigate the mental health problems of the user. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/254391856_Advances_in_electrical_impedance_methods_in_medical_diagnostics https://translational-medicine.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12967-020-02395-9 (Also wanted to add that bioimpedance research has suggested it can be used to detect types of cancer cells; though nothing related to our project but shows how promising this can be) 2)Chatbot that expresses human emotions and listens to depressed people- Depression is a common mental health condition that affects millions of people worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, with an estimated 264 million people affected by the condition in 2020. In the United States, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) reports that approximately 17.3 million adults (7.1% of the adult population) experienced at least one major depressive episode in 2019. Given the effects of depression on mental health.

Challenges we ran into Using the open API because it is a new API and not many resources are available on it. Working constantly solving and debugging programs was a tough challenge.

What we learned We learned to use open API and Figma to make the UI/UX of the bio-impedance mobile app.

What's next for MBS (Mind Body Sync) We have some exciting plans for the next phase of the project. We're going to build on the progress we've made so far and take it to the next level. We're confident that we can deliver something truly exceptional and we can't wait to share it with everyone. There's a lot of hard work ahead, but we're all committed to making this project a huge success. Stay tuned for more updates!
