Inspiration

  • Riley's mother is a middle school teacher who returns home and dedicates hours to grading homework before spending hours preparing activities for the following day.

What it does

  • We provide automated homework grading and generate graphs for teachers, enabling them to customize their lessons more effectively based on each student's performance.

How we built it

  • We used Figma, Google cloud vision API, Replit, Javascript, css and HTML

Challenges we ran into

  • Google cloud vision API was challenging for us to implement, we realized our ambitions where too high.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Riley comes from an engineering background and this project gave him the opportunity to learn programming.
  • Jeralmi learned how to use API's and taught himself how to use Figma

What we learned

  • Figma and Google cloud vision API

What's next for MathAssistant

  • Completing the rest of the website and implementing Google cloud vision API or tesseract OCR to digitize hand written papers
  • Help doctors keep track of their patients data in a more reliable way
  • Helping law firms digitize the their process
  • Working alongside teachers to improve our product
