The Washington post reports that teachers "spend another 95 minutes at home grading". We seek to automate the worksheet grading system to give teachers more time during their day.
Riley's mother is a middle school teacher who returns home and dedicates hours to grading homework before spending hours preparing activities for the following day.
What it does
We provide automated homework grading and generate graphs for teachers, enabling them to customize their lessons more effectively based on each student's performance.
How we built it
We used Figma, Google cloud vision API, Replit, Javascript, css and HTML
Challenges we ran into
Google cloud vision API was challenging for us to implement, we realized our ambitions where too high.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Riley comes from an engineering background and this project gave him the opportunity to learn programming.
Jeralmi learned how to use API's and taught himself how to use Figma
What we learned
Figma and Google cloud vision API
What's next for MathAssistant
Completing the rest of the website and implementing Google cloud vision API or tesseract OCR to digitize hand written papers
