Inspiration
I was inspired by the many Mario games that I played growing up
What it does
In this game, play as a square, jumping across different mathematical equations and thermos, dodging obstacles, and collect all of the Tau coins
How I built it
I used the Unity game engine to make this game, C# for the programming, and Photoshop for the artwork
Challenges I ran into
One of the bigger challenges we ran into was trying to make the particles falling from the sky work. We accomplished this using the Unity particle system, and had each particle randomly choose a sprite form a list of sprites. Another problem was trying to design the level layouts while also having it be consisted of equations and other mathematical figures. This took a lot of time and creativity to do for the project
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
One thing I'm proud of was that I was able to figure out how to do most of the coding by myself (only had to watch one tutorial :) )
What I learned
Ironically, I learned a lot about different mathematical equations and figures in this project
