Marveen

Marveen is a web application that allows a financial company(a bank), by using a machine learning technology, knows about people´s common problems. The project is focused on a very special grupo: Families. We all know that a child birth, is a one in a lifetime moment, and with all the joy of becoming parents (as a great aracnic hero said), comes a great responsability, is because of this reason that this app is so useful for a financial company as this is able to affer many economic solutions for people´s problem, and more than that, solving a customer relationship management trouble: to know what the customer need, more than what he wants. Marveen is, as far as we go, our greatest development challenge, because we didn´t know anything about artificial intelligence, machine-learning or the fact of dealing with a this dimension project that was involving a real insitution from daylife, but despite all obstacles, we made it out, as a team, fellows that we are, and more important, friends.

Technology behind Marveen

Marveen is a machine-learning techonolgy, supported by a web service named MonkeyLearn, we did data mining, separating post from a social network, the one we used in the project was Twitter, and teaching Marveen how to decide whether a single post was from a potenciall customer, or just a simple normal message After its school lessons, Marveen was set as a web application, in order to make more accesible for the bank marketing worker its access, and with all that information, was able to make a heat map, that shows the concentration of potencial customers per region, but further than that, we add an extra bit of information, Marveen is also able to detect a bunch of posts that talk about people´s expierence with the bank, so that they could improve their working methods, facilities, or hundred of further options.

The beggining of something new

Marveen is not just a simple and common application, is for us, one of the greatest things, we are prouder of, this is a bridge for data science, between organizations and people, a new way of communication, and a new way of making a world more united. link: http://blacksheep.citaland.com/
