Inspiration

We tried our best

What it does

Our project aims to predict significant changes in stock prices before they occur, leveraging historical market data.

How we built it

We built our project using ReactJS with Vite for the frontend and Python Flask to perform the algorithms and create our endpoints. We also used Google Collab to train a model to recognize the significant changes in order to predict the future outcomes.

Challenges we ran into

We got hungry and tired. We encountered a few challenges involved with training the model due to the changes being increasingly small. We also experienced issues with plotting the entire data into charts along with import statements. There were also issues with connecting the trained model with the backend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As a team, we are proud to say that we stuck through it until the end. While it may not have been the outcome we desired, the experience was as much a learning opportunity as it was humbling.

What we learned

During this experience, we learned that sometimes React extensions .js and .jsx are actually different and can affect the import statements from being read correctly.
