Inspiration
Our project aims to recreate 3d marble labyrinth toy line Perplexus. The original toy-line was made to improve hand-eye coordination and spatial skills. We hope that what our project would expand this idea digitally, working on players spatial understanding with short puzzle levels.
What it does
Drops a ball onto a course that the player controls. By rotating the stage the player will guide the ball to the end of a level by having to completely flip the course on it head and other unorthodox methods
How we built it
Sculpted separate pieces of track in maya, import them into unity, set up scripts to get working game, build more
Challenges we ran into
The ball keeps clipping through the track pieces, getting the track to move the direction that the mouse is going
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Figuring out how to put together our idea in the timeframe of the event
What we learned
Doing basic work with Maya, doing more in-depth thought with the unity physics more in depth
What's next for Marble Madness
More levels, better ball physics, fix models to stop clipping
