Inspiration

As someone with undocumented parents, I struggled with college preparation. My parents had no college experience, and I only saw my counselor during school hours. So, for a while, I needed to prepare for college and, like many, worried about the debt it would bring and not being exactly ready. I want to make college preparation much more accessible for students who are undocumented or have undocumented parents by organizing a website that includes everything needed. So that many of these students do not have to struggle and have the chance to deepen their education.

What it does

Esperanza is an organization where undocumented students and students undocumented parents can learn about college preparation, find scholarships, connect with college admission officers, and prepare for the SAT. But it's more than that. It's a support system for low-income students, offering efficient job search tools and monthly food drives for those who need it. We're here to reassure you that we care about your well-being and are committed to supporting you on your educational journey.

What's next for Esperanza

What would be next is hopefully getting Esperanza up and running. This idea can be very beneficial for so many students and family members who want to help their students deepen their education while not having to worry about the debt college imposes or if they are not properly prepared. Esperanza is what I hope for the future, the hope that anyone, no matter their background, feels they can go to college.
