How we built it
Using Google's firebase and html, css and javascript while coordinating with github we managed to bring forward this project.
Challenges we ran into
Technical Challenges Firstly we ran into some challenges like installing git, installing libraries and this sort of thing. But when we started coding and pushing into GitHub we began getting Merge Conflicts that were, for the most part, easy to fix. The worst technical problem we got was 3 hours before submitting when we had to recur to a backup after a wrong pull had corrupted the web.
Knowledge Challenges Before we could even start we had to learn a lot of things, while one was learning HTML, the other was learning React (that we eventually didn't use) and the other was learning how to use GIT. So we runned into some problems and had to find solutions using all that was available to us. We also had to ask mentors for usage of React and for a hosting space for our web that finally worked and was fully functional.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned A LOT with this project, we faced tons of new challenges, and with all the ups and downs, we just had a great time.
What we learned
From the backend, the complexities of databases, and the frontend challenges of making a visually appealing UI, there were a lot of big or small things that we learned!
What's next for Majority Report
Features! We did not have nearly enough time to do everything we would have wanted for Majority Report! Making it more intractable, and having higher data analysis capabilities, is the path to the future.
