Our inspiration for the Magic In Every Pixel Adobe Add-On was to empower users to easily transform their images into magical creations. We were driven by the endless creative possibilities technology offers and wanted to provide a tool that sparks imagination. Our goal was to simplify image editing while adding a touch of magic, enabling users to express their creativity in new and exciting ways.

Upload Your Own Images: Start by uploading your own images directly into Adobe Express from your files. This feature ensures that you can easily access and edit your images without any hassle.
Browse and Select Backgrounds: Explore a diverse selection of background images provided by the add-on. You can browse through various categories and themes to find the perfect background for your image.
Apply Backgrounds with Ease: Once you've found the perfect background, simply drag it onto your uploaded image. The add-on allows you to easily position and adjust the background to fit your image seamlessly.
Preview and Customize: Preview the combined effect of your uploaded image and the selected background in real-time. You can customize the position, size, and opacity of the background to achieve the desired look.

Challenges we ran into
Initially, we aimed to create a filter that would use AI to detect facial features for tracking, allowing the user to apply filters dynamically based on the detected features. However, we soon realized that this scope was too large. As a result, we decided to pivot our approach and focus on creating a more achievable and user-friendly filter that still provided an enchanting experience for our users and implemented a few of our desired features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to seamlessly integrate the Adobe Embed Express SDK APIs, letting users effortlessly upload images to Adobe Express. Our diverse background selection and drag-and-drop feature make applying backgrounds easy. Users can preview and customize their images in real-time, then save and share them.
What we learned
In the process of creating our Magic In Every Pixel Adobe Add-On, we gained hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and the Adobe Embed Express SDK APIs. This project allowed us to deepen our understanding of these technologies and how they can be used to enhance user experiences. We also learned valuable skills in working with files, including uploading and manipulating images directly within Adobe Express.
What's next for Magic In Every Pixel
To further enhance our Enchanted Image Filter Adobe Add-On, we can consider the following expansion:
Database Integration: Incorporate a database to store a larger selection of background images. This database can be used to efficiently manage and retrieve images based on user preferences.
AI Image Categorization: Utilize AI algorithms to automatically categorize images in the database. This categorization can be based on various criteria such as theme, color scheme, or style, making it easier for users to find relevant backgrounds for their images.
Personalization Features: Provide users with the ability to personalize their experience by saving their favorite backgrounds, creating custom categories, or even uploading their own background images to the database for future use.
Collaboration Tools: Introduce collaboration features that allow users to share their edited images with others, collaborate on projects, and provide feedback on each other's work. This can create a community around the add-on and encourage creativity and collaboration among users.
