Inspiration
I got my inspiration from seeing older people suffer in doing simple tasks when it comes to using mobile, due to their lack of technological knowledge, they usually face many difficulties while using it. I got idea for older people but i thought to myself wouldn't it be great if my device could also help people who are physically disabled, hence this product.
What it does
This is an app which works on voice-navigation thus making the navigation for both older people as well as disabled people really easy, it has an exclusive community where people can share how they feel, problems they face in daily life, their happy moments, their accomplishments ,etc. the whole idea for making a community in the ap is so that people can connect with each other and help each other, its often seen that people with disabilities face many issues or people consider them as useless, we made this community so every one can be happy at a place and where everyone will respect each other. The app also has a therapy session portal where you will be connected to the therapist who matches with your profile the most and then you can schedule the call or book an appointment. We are also planning to add book an appointment feature where they will directly be able to contact to doctors. The app will easily navigate in phone and will be running in, they just need to speak too it. It also has an AI bot which will help you go through everything and help you with your needs whenever needed.
How we built it
First of all i used Figma to design it and prototype, then using Flutter we tried to made the app and the authentication will be done using the Firebase. By using widgets available in flutter library we can easily be able to accomplish most of our tasks.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was to implement everything that we desired to make, as I am just learning the basics of app dev, it was really difficult to make such a project and i ended up with only UI/UX.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The whole structure has been made , its a working prototype. I know its not much but with time i intend to complete this project.
What we learned
Learned a lot about app dev, their widgets, researched about the lives of physically disabled people, got to learn a lot there too, their problems, their day-day works, etc. Moreover, it was a really good experience.
What's next for MADAD Initiative
Working on the app, making it go live for public, connecting with therapist and adding the doctor's appointment feature. We think this app can really make an impact and help millions of people outside.
